New York City Mayor Eric Adams warned that duplicating the current riots in Los Angeles will “not be tolerated.”
“The escalation of protests in Los Angeles over the last couple of days is unacceptable and would not be tolerated if attempted in our city,” Adams said Monday while speaking alongside NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.
What began as an aggressive protest Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in Los Angeles over the weekend descended into a full-scale riot that entered its fourth day Tuesday. To quell the violence and restore order, President Donald Trump activated nearly 2,100 National Guard troops.
